There Is A Star
by Bevan McShea
In 1 of those Moments
Of quiet, still silence
Those times of awareness
Of both Singing
And Silence
I find my face reflecting
The Red flash of sirens
On an East Village corner
Cars stopped by the light
My eyes rise over buildings
And fly to the sky
An Indigo blur
A lone star above
A Light in the vast space
The Embrace of the Ancients
And GOD Is That Light
And I Am
That Star
