Santorini
by Bevan McShea
Where words should fail
I paint a picture
In their honor
By their power
Upon the volcanic crescent
With the sea as one
With the blinding sun
Save the textured ripples
Cliffs kiss white villages
Shelters shimmer
Sprinkled Stars
Through shards of flowers
Mountains sky faded
Reminiscent
In the silent distance
A glimpse
Of Atlantis
(Santorini Greece, 2007)
