Music

I have always loved music and written songs. Citylinear Music, in alliance with Eastlight Records distributes my music physically and digitally throughout the world. Here are some of my projects affiliated with the label. I also manage my Event DJ company Citylinear DJs.

Star Haven

Star Haven is the indie acoustic project of Bevan McShea. The songs are personal and spiritual reflections expressed in celestial and mystical metaphors, while keepin the working class and urban ethic of traditional singer songwriting alive. The subject matter ranges from dealing with personal loss to astronomical phenomenon to the civilization of Atlantis with a central theme of Christ's Love and Appearance and a correlation of albums with the Seven Joys of Mary. Lightborn

Lightborn is a turntablist, lyricist, and spoken word artist. Lightborn's deep, esoteric lyricism , poetry, performance, and original hip hop style has garnered interest and respect in the U.S. and abroad. Lightborn's debut album "Angel of Def" made waves in the East Coast underground, and the second album "The Psychology of Fire" which features Wu Tang Clan's Killah Priest, Maylay Sparks, and members of Philadelphia's DubQuatic Collective has made Lightborn's expression common knowledge in the worldwide Underground hip hop market from the U.S. to Japan to France to Australia. WIth few live performances which usually are advertised to a limited audience or done unannounced, the mystery and elusive character of Lightborn adds to his depth and the expression of his vision. Having shared stages with Reef The Lost Cause, HMD, Catastrofiks, and the world fusion music band Animus, Lightborn continues on a musical journey which he describes as more of a mission than an artistic endeavor. (Victor Christopher /Eastlight Records)

Frankendef

Frankendef is a gothic electro new wave project born from the ashes of the cult favorite punk project "Ghouls Against Boys." Born on Halloween night in Southwest Philadelphia's "Code Space's" first ever performance, the positve reaction to the unique one man punk band that played distorted power chords over electro beats and new wave synths started waves in the underground "Horro Punk" sub genre. The songs that were intended for one live performance were recorded and leaked through the internet, where Ghouls Against Boys started to have a cult following. These songs and more became "Creature Crunch" which DJ Lightborn ILLumadel could only describe as "Monster Cereal Rock."
