Graffiti was everywhere where I grew up and it has heavliy influenced my visual style. I am interested in stylized script and letterforms. I feel that focus on the meaning and presentation of words in a world where we are bombarded by commercial, deceitful, and hurtful words adds an aesthetic, similar to the recitation of poetry. Blackbooks are traditionally graf artists idea and sketch books. Besides font and letter style creations, I also have abstract contour line drawings and sketches. I often like contour lines as it represtents to me the interconnectedness of things and is a therapeutic technique.
